Jimiyo Takes Us to Church (0)

Published on May 11th, 2010. By

, under Advice .

If you haven’t heard of Jimiyo yet, then you must be new to the scene. The guy has been a t-shirt designing pioneer for quite some time now. He started out winning t-shirt design competitions on the regular and parlayed that into employment for TeeFury/Design By Humans as their art curator. In short, when Jimiyo speaks….we all listen.

He recently created a post at Emptees titled “How I Made $7500 in 3 Months With My Art

” where he lays out the different approaches to getting paid for your work. It shows the different outlets for sales and serves as an overall gameplan for distribution of your designs. A must-read for all t-shirt designers…

Threadless Gift Certs on Discount (0)

Andy at Hide Your Arms

has come up with a novel idea to earn some spare dough. He is taking all of his Threadless street team points and converting those into gift certificates to sell for some cold hard digital cash. I see that I’m a little late to the party for when he announced this because he has already sold out. However, you can join the mailing list to be notified when he stocks back up. I’m gonna bet that won’t be too long….

Electric Z Gets the LuchagorEZ Treatment (0)

Everyone likes a good luchador. Everyone LOVES a good luchagore. What is that you ask? It is when you gore up a Mexican wrestling champion. If you are still having a tough time imagining what that looks like….DerekDeal

made one hell of an illustration for Electric Zombie to show you exactly what that looks like:

I would directly link to this shirt but the URL’s at Buy Electric Zombie

are generic for everything in the store.

Christian San Jose is one heck of a designer hailing from the Philippines. You have probably seen his work before on the various t-shirt design sites. His run during the DBH 10K contest was covered

by Coty Gonzales because of his innovative campaign to spread the word of his design. If you remember, he won that bad boy with a design called Mecha Labaw . Here is the design as a reminder:

Recently Vectortuts interviewed Christian

to see what makes him tick. Go check it out and see some more of his top notch work:

8-Bit Zombie Is Innovating (0)

Published on March 8th, 2010. By

, under Cool Sites .

Let me just warn you up front. The reason the T Addict is writing about 8-Bit Zombie

is because I was first blown away by the foam trucker hats they’ve created. But since that seems almost sacrilegious for the T Addict to write an exclusive post about hats…8-Bit Zombie does have one t-shirt that I can write about first.

The premise behind 8-Bit Zombie is the throwback reference to the original gaming systems with 8-bit graphics. The most recognizable of those systems being the original Nintendo Entertainment System. The shirt goes all out

with a six color screen print on a black American Apparel shirt.

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get back to the trucker hats

that first caught my attention. The images on their storefront shows a printing location that I have never seen before. They are putting custom designs on the under side of the bill. And not only that, they’re just about covering the whole printable area. Check it out for yourself:

It’s pretty sick! The only question is, how are they doing that?

The T Addict loves it when a site genuinely asks its readers/customers for help on a redesign or suggestions for the direction of a business. 200 Nipples

has done just that in a recent post on their blog asking for help on a complete overhaul of their site.

They’ve put together a quick customer survey that should take you less than 5 minutes to fill out. Help them out if you can and tell ‘em the T Addict sent ya’.
