Black Eyed Perez T-Shirt Design (0)

This is an absolute must see design! The biggest pop news item this past week before the unfortunate celebrity deaths of MJ and Farrah Fawcett was that of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton being punched in the face

by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas’ manager. Perez went  on a tear for days after the fact which included creating  a very emotional video that has been applauded and mocked depending on which side of the fence you stand on the issue

(the artist who brought us Zombama Brains ) wasn’t going to just stand by and let this cultural event pass us by without creating a commemorative tee design. Without further ado, I bring to you the masterpiece that is the Black Eyed Perez :

Two Episodes from Co-Tee TV (0)

What’s up fellow T Addicts? It has been awhile since I’ve guest posted on this blog.  It certainly hasn’t been for a lack of cruising the t-shirt blogosphere though.  It amazes me the amount of content that is being produced out there by those who have a passion for tees.  One such blogger who appears to never sleep and stays putting out high quality posts is Coty Gonzales

One of the things that sets him apart from the rest is the amount of videos he is doing now. That kind of content takes time and energy, and he is consistently putting forth both.  That’s why I wanted to take this opportunity to post the two latest Co-Tee TV videos for the T Addict fans to enjoy. Keep it up Coty!

Undrcrwn Tells You (0)

From the “tell us how you really feel” department, Undrcrwn

bring us the “Your Swagger Sucks ” t-shirt. The more subtle message of “You Suck” is a little hidden Easter egg in the print. This shirt makes me feel all warm and fuzzy like Grandma’s hot cocoa.

Sintient Apparel Featuring Einstein’s Dank (0)

Published on June 18th, 2009. By

, under T-Shirt Spotlight .

As a t-shirt blogger, I get a lot of e-mails from brand new clothing lines, existing lines, and clothing lines that have been in the game for a long time. For those that I’ve never heard of and have never seen, I make the time to look at every one of them. I’m always looking for something different and/or high quality. It doesn’t even have to fit in within my own personal style because I have learned to appreciate creativity and top-notch printing.

This is the case with Sintient Apparel

. I checked the brand out and instantly knew it wasn’t my style but at the same time knew I had to get my hands on one. Einstein’s Dank was definitely a print that I had to see in person. I initially had the feeling it was going to be a design that looked great on the computer but couldn’t possibly be executed 100% onto the t-shirt. I couldn’t have been any more wrong.

The concept of Albert Einstein smoking an atomic mushroom cloud will probably stir up a lot of debate with opponents/proponents of nuclear bombs. No need for the T Addict to get deep, I’ll leave that up to the scholars. What I will do is tell you that this oversized print with full bleed and a ton of halftones was masterfully done.

Taking the easy way out would have been printing this image in black on a white t-shirt. This is almost the exact opposite. The design is done in shades of khaki/tan and it doesn’t show any of the typical muddy spots associated with a photograph print. They did this on a black t-shirt, the most difficult of them. And yet, somehow they maintained all the detail without losing any of the quality.

Sintient offers one other shirt at post time featuring Buddha puffing away with birds as the smoke. Again, not my cup of tea, but I can assure you the print is as good as it gets. Each shirt goes for $30 and is a good buy if you want to stir up some controversy and start some conversations.

Finally it wouldn’t be a t-shirt spotlight without showing you my weak noodle of an arm.

DBH and Incubus Design Contest (0)

And the hits just keep on coming over at Design By Humans. They have now paired up with the band Incubus

for the latest installment of the DBH music series. I think the best part about these contest has been the variety in the style of musicians offered with Pink Floyd to Lil’ Wayne to now Incubus.

Tom Neal For Teextile (0)

Published on June 10th, 2009. By

, under Cool Tees .

The T Addict got a nice little e-mail from designer Tom Neal

, telling him about the t-shirt he designed for Teextile . So I went and checked it out and thought it was pretty cool. It’s one of the new style of designs that look great in Photoshop, and now looks great on a t-shirt. Five years ago, it probably wouldn’t even have been attempted in favor of something easier for print.

If You Wish Upon A Star

, then buy this shirt.

Miles To Go Clothing New Release (0)

Published on June 9th, 2009. By

, under T-Shirt Lines .

It has been awhile since we have mentioned anything about Miles To Go Clothing

. Their skull tee the T Addict featured before is still one of my faves and I get compliments every time I wear it. Well that shirt has nothing on their latest release.

The Stay Free tee

is simply unbelievable. I think part of my awe has to do with knowing Greg at MTG uses discharge printing when most others wouldn’t feel the need to go the extra mile. Just take a look at this bad boy:

And I have to give credit where credit is due, a hat tip goes out to Coty Gonzales

for posting about this one first. Being second to Coty is still a win in my book.   :)

Zombies Aren’t Just For Tees (0)

I just watched Kanye West’s new video for “Paranoid” featuring Rihanna

and it immediately reminded me of the zombie trend for t-shirt designs. You can’t go to a new page on Emptees these days without see the obligatory half-dead themed tee design. I ain’t hatin’, I’m just sayin’.

Anyways, here’s the vid so you can see for yourself:

, where are you at? We need a new tee with a zombie Rihanna or Kanye!!!

The Fat Seagull Finds Bobby Fresh (0)

Published on June 1st, 2009. By

The T Addict has to show some love to the Fat Seagull

for finding this Bobby Fresh Air Yeezy shirt . I think it’s pretty fresh for capturing the Kanye look with a cartoon feel. You know Yeazy would approve this one. The colorways are an added bonus for matching up with the new Nike Air Yeazy’s.

Nice find you Fat Seagull you.
