Give This Design a Home (0)

It has blown me away with the amount of good artwork for t-shirts on the interwebs these days.  There really is no excuse to not bring your A Game every time you send something to print.  Not having any design skills yourself is no longer an excuse.  Case in point, this image:

This t-shirt design was created as a collabo by Corefolio

and Gaunty , originally for Word Apparel, and is for sale.  The designers have a post about it on Emptees and you can contact the owner, Levi Hardeman, with $250 or your best offer.  This design NEEDS to be printed.

Coincidence or conspiracy? The Taddict is gonna have to go with coincidence when it comes to Godmachine having the tee of the day at Emptees

and on the same day as being in the Designer Spotlight . Hell of a day if you ask me.  ;)

Collision Theory Gets Abduzeedo Love (0)

The very popular AJ Dimarucot

, a.k.a. Collision Theory, got some design love today on the equally popular design blog, Abduzeedo. He was one of the features in their list of 50 Mind Blowing Retro Style Photoshop Illustrations . You should recognize his designs from seeing them before but they are always worth another look. Check out the article by clicking on the images below:

Don’t Forget the Presentation (0)

Just when you thought spending hours on some sick design for a t-shirt was going to be enough, you find out the presentation of that artwork can be just as important.  Have you seen the images in the gallery at Emptees

?  These designers are not only making designs that are unreal, but they’re also setting it up in a way that makes it irresistible.

Here are three that I saw today that really caught my eye based on the layout.

Mark Ward: T-Shirt Designer (0)

This guy’s work is sick.  I stumbled across Mark Ward’s

skills while reading Mash Kulture on a post about his collaboration with Burton Snowboards .  I am hooked on the t-shirt with the sunglasses and the matching hat.  It was certainly enough talent for the Taddict to check out his personal portfolio and apparently many of the big names in apparel have recognized his art.

First I need you to go to Mash Kulture to look at the pictures of what Burton has coming up.  Then click on the screen shot below to see the rest of Mark’s folio.

Mark, if you have found this and are available for an interview….we’d be honored to get that rollin’.

Heartcore Color Seps Video (0)

As I was burning through my feedreader this morning, I came across a video by Jimmy Heartcore

on how to color separate artwork posted on Coty Gonzales’ blog .  I’m sure that you now know the Taddict is a sucker for tutorials and interviews.  My original intentions were to create a referral post to that article, but I came across an added bonus.  The Vimeo page hosting Jimmy’s tutorial also had another one of his videos but this one was on 4-color process separations.  It only makes sense that I post that video below.  For the spot color separations video, visit Coty’s blog .

Valentine’s Day Is Coming (0)

I hope you don’t expect something cheesy on this post from the Taddict. I just don’t have it in me. What I do have is a pretty clever concept from an artist named Sascha that I found on Behance

. I thought I would post it because I think it is a mock-up and hasn’t actually been printed yet. It might be one that you might want to scoop up from Sascha and split the returns. This would be a great gift for Valentine’s Day.

Designerside’s Gruesome Tee Design List (0)

Another design blog featuring t-shirt designs came across my feed reader this morning.  I thought the list was good, but the thing that really stood out in my mind was the fact that it was guest written by Blake at You Design It.  It was written on Designerside

and the list came exclusively from Emptees , one of our favorite sites.  We thought we’d take this as a good opportunity to let you know that we did get in touch with Blake for an upcoming interview.

Now we just need to come up with some questions that we feel like our fellow Taddicts would like to know.  Getting right on that as soon as this post is live.  :)

MyInkBlog X You Design It (0)

Apparently, I am a little late to the party on this one. Late Monday night MyInkBlog

ran an article called 23 Great Apparel Related Design Articles that featured our big list of t-shirt blog feeds . Pop Culture Tees and Coty Gonzales both picked up on it as well. The article itself is a pretty good list of resources for designers interested in t-shirt designing.

On another note…this is about the 10th article I have seen from Blake at You Design It. If you are reading this Blake, we would like to interview you for Taddict. Please contact us if you are interested!

Dale Edwin Murray and Slurp (0)

At Taddict, we know Dale from e-mailing back and forth.  It only took a few looks at his artwork and I instantly became a fan.  He has a pretty distinct style, and it is very consistent across his themes.  Slurp

, his latest t-shirt design, is no different, but yet manages to still stay fresh.  This was also my first time to come across the Chimpogo website.  It is another t-shirt design submission/voting website based across the pond in the UK.

If you haven’t seen either, I suggest you go check it out.  And while you’re there, you might as well sign up and vote for slurp, because I can’t imagine it not winning.
