Candy cannon by daleedwinmurray

Probably one of the most under rated artist that I have seen lately. Dale’s work

is unique and creative and would love to see more work from this artist printed.

Awkward Charm by jimiyo

Another great design from the every so famous jimiyo

(Jimmy Benedict)  This to me is not his usual style (which is nice) and seems like he is taking some inspiration from user matihole (Matheus Lopes) with this piece. Absolutely love it!

What is Inside A Girl by dcastle8183

Nice concept from Derrick Castle (dcastle8183

) and I really like this guys style. Here is a quote if you are wandering where the design concept came from.

Haven’t we always wondered what is inside a girl? My mother told me it was sugar and spice but I don’t believe her. Some people have to find out for themselves…

Couloured fire dragoon by conker

A somewhat new artist to the scene but has been around on DBH for some time. I think the whole breathing out whatever design has been done before but this is a very nice take on that concept. Also look at the placement, it would truly make an awesome printed tee.

Great printed t-shirt designs that you might not know about (0)

Some small shops tend to have the most unique and under rated designs. Below I have listed a few that I think deserve recondition and your purchase :) If your a regular on Taddict you might already know some of these.

From a bigcartel

store that I have featured in the past comes this design called What Goes around Comes Around by Gabe of 1Aeon. "

The multilayered silkscreened tee has an oversized front print with a Skull (purple) and hands and knives (night-glow white so yes these guys are GLOW IN THE DARK!!!!).

A previous Taddict sponsor

that has great taste in design. These guys truly have a great selection of shirts. This one is called Inkbath BM and is by Brian Morris

A rose is a rose… Ink Authority Brian Morris’ kick at the inkbath. Hand mixed colors on Brick; you will love this feel of this shirt, a UNISEX cut.

Straw Castle

From my most recent inspiring artist comes the store Straw Castle

by Derrick Castle (aka dcastle8183 ). This is his first printed design for the store and it is an awesome 2 color print titled Thus Be Judged.

The meaning of this design is "The Judgment of Evil." In tattoo art the Ape represents Evil and the Dagger, Judgment.

Palm Shirts

I usually stay away from this shop

simply because visiting their store could give you a seizure you want forget (to many flashing images) but I really like this design. MISFIT BY CARLA POTT

Bad Designer Threads

Similar to how Turn Nocturnal

uses text in there designs, Bad Designer Threads comes up with some killer concepts. I personally love the comic sans design and this one titled Designer "Word" .

dcastle8183 submits Rasputin t-shirt design to DBH (0)

Love it!
Don’t really know a whole lot about Rasputin

, well – frankly because I hated school – so i’ll just paste what others have summed up about Old Rasputin.

Monk/Priest who proclaimed spiritual powers beyond the ordinary, was the ‘pet’ of Alexandra (Russia) because he could stop her son’s bleeding (hemophilia). He was a hard one to knock off, took several stabbings, being shot, and being poisoned to do him in. He wielded an abnormal amount of power to Nicholas, Tzar of Russia before the fall to the Red Army.

He was a Russian monk that weasled his way into the Royal Family of Russian. He became one of the most influsential figures in the last czarism of russia. He was said to see God and was following His word. When he died Rasputin was shot, drugged, hung and drowned before he died (… there might have been more ways he was “killed” but i forget them).

Here is Derricks (aka dcastle8183

) original rasputin design. Which one do you like best?

Love this guys work

. Looks like he improves on each design as he continues. Where will this one go? dbh? or his own store straw castle ? not for certain

Gypsy Folklore

This a design I came up with inspired by Romanian Jewish Gypsy Folklore Music. I tried to incorporate the idea of “wandering campfire type music” with stories of the the Fox & Hare and the Gypsy Rose. This is a five color design.

Last week you were introduced

to user dcastle8183 from DBH for having some awesome talents with the below shown submission. Since then,  I have asked this user (who’s name I now know to be Derrick Castle of Nashville Mafia ) to write up a short description to better introduce himself to his fans, including myself.

Hey ya, Derrick here. I’m a designer and have been in the industry
professionally for 10 years. I have been interested in design since I
was a wee little child, drawing pictures of Popeye and anchors on my arms at a very early age. I have spent the majority of my professional career working in the corporate office culture as a graphic designer. In my evening hours I have done works for numerous client such as Hank Williams III, The Crickets of Buddy Holly fame, Sk8grl Merchandising, CoolGirl Decks, Double D Records as well as many other mom and pops.
I’m currently trying to get my Merchandising brand, “Straw Castle” off the ground.

The Straw Castle

brand is tapping into a lot of my different
influences. I can find influence in many a strange places… whether
it be food, drink, sleep or culture. One of my biggest influences has
come from the tattoo culture through personal heroes such as Sailor
Jerry . You will see a lot of traditional tattoo designs influences
carried through in my work. I’m also inspired by music, in many
different genres, particularly Eastern European Gypsy. I think one of the reasons I like this style is because their sound is so eclectic.
They use many different types of instrumentation from different places and cultures. Like this style of music, I find my self trying to weave different combinations of style and cultures into my design work.

I have few different goals in life, the Straw Castle

brand being one.
I’m currently pushing out as many designs as I can, to cement my niche in the tee design community. I’ve presented some of my work to communities like emptees.com and designbyhumans.com the past month or so and have gotten pretty good feedback. I feel like I have around 10 design concepts in the Straw Castle style that completely kick ass but its been a matter of just getting started. I’m pushing my first design out there to see if there is a market for my style and to be able to finance the rest of the designs. So far it has been a long illustrious career but in the words of The Carpenters “We’ve only just begun…”

Here is Derricks first design for newly launched store Straw Castle titled “Thus Be Judged”. Looks awesome! Yours for $15.99

Glimpse of Cuba t-shirt design from newly liked artist dcastle8183 (0)

I first blogged

about this artist sometime last week and he has already submitted another wonderful design to DBH. Clearly very talented artwork from user dcastle8183 .

This is a Design I came up with inspired by Cuban imagery. I’m a huge fan of the Cuban American Culture, Cuban food and drinks… such as the Mojito. This is just a glimpse of Cuba. This design was hand drawn and colored in Photoshop and Illustrator.
